King Salman invited the Iranian president to visit Saudi Arabia

Saudi King Salman has invited Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi to visit Saudi Arabia.

According to a foreign news agency, the Iranian President's Deputy Chief of Staff for Political Affairs, Mohammad Jamshidi, tweeted that Saudi Arabia has invited Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi to Riyadh.

He said that the Saudi ruler wrote a letter to the Iranian president and welcomed the restoration of relations between the two countries.

Mohammad Jamshidi said that King Salman strengthened Iran-Saudi strong economic and regional cooperation.

He said that Iranian President Raisi has welcomed the Saudi ruler's invitation and has asked Iran to be ready to increase cooperation with Saudi Arabia.

On the other hand, no such letter has been confirmed by Saudi Arabia.

It should be noted that Iran and Saudi Arabia announced the restoration of bilateral diplomatic relations on March 10. Diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran were severed in 2016, but this month, China played the role of an important mediator in the restoration of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
